November 19th is World Toilet Day. Every year, this day  highlights the gravity of the sanitation challenge – 2.5 billion people in the world do not have access to proper sanitation.  The human waste from 4.1 billion people ends up never being treated. Women risk rape and sexual assault as they have to walk to toilets late at night and far from their homes.  Girls face discrimination and humiliation because there are no private toilets at schools.

Here at Sanergy, we joined our community members at the Hope Worldwide Center  to celebrate the Fresh Life Toilet. The day was marked with pomp and color! Over 400 community members attended. We provided plenty of entertainment for everyone and awarded some great prizes.

As of November 2014, we have 585 Fresh Life Toilets serving over 26,000 residents with hygienic sanitation every single day!
