Sanergy in the Spotlight
We are honored to have been selected as a semi-finalist for the 2013 Financial Times/Citi Ingenuity Awards: Urban Ideas in Action.
Developed in conjunction with business school INSEAD and sponsored by Citi, the program discovers, recognizes and promotes innovations that ensure cities are centers of creativity and progress by addressing serious social, economic, environmental or health-related challenges.
According to the Financial Times’ Edwin Heathcote “They are also looking for those innovations which are the most appropriate and the easiest to roll out across cities elsewhere in the world. The idea is that the most ingenious solutions should be able to inspire other cities facing similar challenges to address their own issues effectively and ingeniously.” The winners, selected by a panel of global experts will be announced on December 10th.
The Financial Times is spotlighting the strongest contenders in a series of global magazines published by the Financial Times. We were thrilled to have been spotlighted in the very first issue, The Financial Times, and in this video.
Big thanks to our former intern Edith Kamau who seized the opportunity to promote Sanergy during her internship with South African business magazine, Financial Mail.
We are also appreciative of Voice America who interviewed Sanergy Co-Founder Lindsay Stradley on their Impact Africa internet radio program, alongside Wecyclers Co-Founder and CEO Bilikiss Adebiyi.
Thanks to all of our supporters for sharing our story.
